GENERAL CONFERENCE 2026

Daniel - a life that made God known

Living prayerfully with conviction and integrity in today’s world

Daniel purposed in his heart… Da 1:8

This year’s conference will examine the life of Daniel, specifically how God was able to use him so powerfully. Daniel lived as a Jewish exile in Babylon—a world of foreign culture, pressure to conform, and idolatry. He was in a culture that celebrated power, status, and pleasure. Daniel's prayer life and experiences guided his choices and shaped his character. His strong faith allowed God to use him to influence others. We are called to do the same in our time.

REGISTRATION WILL OPEN ON OR BEFORE JUNE 1.

OPENING MAIN SESSIONS

Daniel’s Character: Integrity When No One Is Watching

Daniel’s life shows what integrity really looks like. He was a man who quietly resolved in his heart to honor God long before his convictions were tested in public. This talk explores how Daniel’s private disciplines, lifelong consistency, and steady obedience shaped a character that endured from his youth into old age, offering a compelling model for moral faithfulness in a world of instant gratification. It invites listeners to consider how inward righteousness and perseverance can reshape their digital habits, relationships, and daily decisions.

Daniel’s Prayer Life: The Secret Source of Strength

Daniel’s prayer life reveals the hidden power behind his public courage—a steady rhythm of seeking God with gratitude, humility, and unwavering trust. This talk traces how Daniel’s disciplined daily prayer and his bold, expectant intercession shaped a faith that endured empires, offering a compelling model for cultivating spiritual resilience in a distracted age. It invites listeners to rediscover prayer not as a duty but as the lifeline that forms character, fuels perseverance, and anchors the soul in God’s presence.

Following the two morning main sessions, attendees will break into three group, attending the topic of their choice.

Build a Prayer Pattern that Strengthens you Daily

A daily prayer pattern becomes a source of strength when it is both practical and powerful—shaping your rhythm, your heart, and the environment where you meet with God. This breakout session equips participants to build a sustainable habit of prayer rooted in Scripture, energized by the ACTS model, and strengthened by the confidence that prayer moves God’s heart and advances the gospel. Through biblical examples and real-life stories, attendees will learn how confession, adoration, thanksgiving, and intercession can form a life-giving pattern that anchors them in God’s presence each day.

Anchor Identity in Christ not Culture

Daniel’s story shows how a secure identity frees a believer to stand firm in a shifting culture, and this breakout helps participants root that identity in Christ rather than in the pressures around them. Drawing from Daniel’s resolve in chapter 1 and the New Testament’s vision of new life in Christ, the session explores how believers can resist cultural drift, engage the church community for strength, and cultivate a steadfast, Christ‑centered identity that shapes every part of life. Through Scripture and lived examples, attendees will see how anchoring identity in Christ produces stability, courage, and clarity in a world that constantly tries to redefine who we are.

Daniel’s Courage: Standing Firm Under Pressure

Daniel’s courage shines most clearly when the pressure is highest, and this breakout explores how he chose obedience to God over safety, reputation, or comfort—even when it meant the lions’ den. Participants will trace how Daniel’s willingness to stand alone, his refusal to compromise, and his steady devotion mirror the New Testament call to bold, Spirit‑empowered faith in a world that often rewards conformity. Through Scripture and practical application, this session invites believers to cultivate the kind of courage that stands for truth, justice, and Christ even when it is costly or unpopular.

MAIN SESSION

Daniel’s Wisdom: Navigating Complexity with Discernment

Daniel shines in the way he engaged a foreign culture with excellence while refusing to compromise his loyalty to God—a model of learning deeply without losing conviction. This talk explores how Daniel combined Spirit‑led discernment, emotional intelligence, and gracious communication to navigate complex situations with clarity and courage, offering a pattern for Christians seeking to engage today’s world with both truth and compassion. It invites listeners to consider how thoughtful cultural engagement and grace‑filled speech can reflect Christ in an age marked by polarization and pressure.

After a break, most attendees will go to a small group discussion on 1 of 5 topics shown below. For those who prefer a presentation instead, there will be an alternate large breakout session in the assembly.

Character - Practice small acts of integrity to form resilient character

A resilient life is built long before the big tests arrive, and this discussion group explores how small, unseen acts of integrity shape the kind of character that can withstand public pressure. Participants will reflect on Daniel’s private resolve, his steady faithfulness in daily responsibilities, and Jesus’ teaching that faithfulness in “little things” prepares us for greater stewardship. Through conversation and practical examples, the group will consider how daily habits, quiet obedience, and consistent integrity form a life that can stand firm when trials come.

Wisdom - Develop wisdom through Scripture, community, and reflection

Wisdom grows where Scripture, community, and reflection meet, and this discussion group explores how Daniel modeled all three as he navigated life in exile. Participants will consider how immersing the mind in God’s Word anchors discernment, how seeking counsel and shared prayer within Christian community strengthens wisdom, and how cultivating an “excellent spirit” through reflection helps believers recognize the Spirit’s leading in a confusing world. Through conversation and Scripture, the group will explore how these practices form a steady, discerning life that can read the times and respond with clarity and faith.

Courage - Stand with courage in ethical, professional, and relational challenges

Courage becomes real in the everyday pressures of life, and this discussion group looks at how Daniel and his friends modeled conviction when the cost was high. Participants will explore what it means to identify the “golden images” of modern culture, to speak truth with integrity even to those in authority, and to remain faithful in ordinary routines when faith becomes unpopular. Through Scripture and shared conversation, the group will consider how courageous obedience can shape ethical decisions, professional integrity, and relational faithfulness in a world that often rewards compromise.

Prayer - Build a prayer framework that strengthens you daily

A strong prayer life is formed long before crisis hits, and this discussion group reflects on Daniel's steady rhythm of daily devotion. Participants will reflect on Daniel’s disciplined practice of praying multiple times a day, his humble posture before God, and his willingness to intercede not only for himself but for his nation. Through Scripture and shared conversation, the group will consider how a consistent framework of prayer can shape the heart, deepen dependence on God, and strengthen believers to stand faithfully in their communities.

Hope - Hold fast to hope in God’s larger plan

Hope becomes steady when it’s anchored in God’s larger story, and this discussion group explores how Daniel learned to rest in God’s sovereignty even as kingdoms rose and fell around him. Participants will reflect on the enduring kingdom God is building, the peace that comes from trusting him in the “lions’ dens” of life, and the promise of final victory revealed in Daniel’s visions. Through Scripture and shared conversation, the group will consider how holding fast to God’s plan brings clarity, courage, and calm in a chaotic world.

ALTERNATE BREAKOUT SESSION

God’s Supreme Power and Authority Over All

Description coming soon...

FINAL MAIN SESSION

Daniel’s Hope: God’s Kingdom Over All Kingdoms

Daniel’s visions pull back the curtain on history, revealing that every earthly kingdom is temporary but God’s reign is unshakable and eternal. This talk traces how that hope shaped Daniel’s courage and steady faithfulness, showing how a clear view of God’s ultimate authority frees believers to live with peace, purpose, and resilience amid political turmoil, cultural anxiety, and personal uncertainty. It invites listeners to anchor their lives in the larger story of God’s kingdom so they can serve well in the present without losing sight of the world to come.
